The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Lead Revenue Accountant to take ownership of our Order-to-Cash process and elevate our revenue accounting operations. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Deal Desk to ensure seamless invoicing, accurate revenue recognition, and efficient financial workflows.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, your typical day includes partnering with Sales and Customer Success to support the Sales Operations process; invoicing customers for new business and renewal contracts; meeting virtually with customers to walk through their payment portal; ad hoc revenue and cash inflow reporting; and developing efficient and repeatable processes. You’ll bring expertise in revenue accounting and systems, while serving as a key bridge between Finance and other teams.

We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience with NetSuite and HubSpot, strong understanding of Contracting and Revenue Accounting processes, and excellent communication skills—especially with small business customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Operations:

  • Own the full revenue accounting cycle: contract review, invoicing, collections, commissions, and revenue recognition (ASC 606-compliant)
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing for Mighty Pro and Path-to-Pro plans
  • Maintain workflows and integrations across NetSuite, HubSpot, and other tools

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Sales, Success, and Sales Operations to support accurate deal setup and renewals.
  • Serve as a finance point of contact for small business customers during onboarding or billing questions.
  • Collaborate with Product and Operations to support scalable processes for product and pricing model changes.

Reporting & Controls:

  • Generate revenue reports and provide insights to Finance and Leadership
  • Record monthly journal entries (revenue, deferred revenue, commissions)
  • Support internal controls, audit processes, and documentation

Growth & Innovation:

  • Lead process improvements and automation initiatives to scale the function.
  • Contribute to building out the revenue accounting team as the company grows.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
    • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in revenue accounting and SaaS business models.
    • Deep familiarity with NetSuite (required), and CRM software, preferably HubSpot, and experience supporting Sales Operations workflows.
    • Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and subscription-based billing models.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in working with small business customers and cross-functional teams.
    • Proactive problem-solver with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience managing or mentoring others and contributing to team development is a plus.

Salary Range: 100-140k
